About
One clinician,
start to finish.
We opened in 2007 as a general practice and narrowed to implants and the restorative work around them in 2014, because doing one thing frequently is how you get good at it.
There is one implant clinician, one restorative dentist, two nurses and a treatment coordinator who is not paid on commission. The person who plans your case places it and reviews it. Nobody is handed on halfway.
We turn down roughly one consultation in six. Usually the bone is not there without a graft the patient does not want, sometimes a conventional bridge is genuinely the better answer, and occasionally the general health does not justify the surgery. Saying so costs us the case and keeps the practice worth recommending.
We do not run before-and-after galleries. Photographs of other people's mouths tell you about their bone, not yours, and they are the easiest thing on a dental website to select flatteringly.
They told me at the consultation that I needed a graft first and that it would add five months. Another practice had quoted me a date three weeks away. I am glad I listened to the one that slowed me down.
The scan was on the screen and he talked me through what he was seeing rather than turning it round at the end. First time a dentist has explained anything to me like that.
Two visits combined into one because of the drive, without us having to ask. Small thing, made a real difference.
